I will never forget the first moment you came into the world - you represented a new birth for me in so many ways and have continued to light up my life with joy, love, tenderness and endless rays of sunshine. One of the hardest parts of a spiritual journey is when you find yourself in a wilderness. Where you feel alone, misunderstood, lost, questioning and just plain tired. I liken this part to that of wandering in an empty, desolate wilderness - it's the best way I know how to describe it. In this week's episode, I dive into this portion of my journey and expose the pain, isolation and mental battles I faced and continue to face while in the wilderness. ✨ . . Every true journey of faith includes the Spirit leading you into a wilderness. And we see that beautifully modeled in Jesus's journey. Taking notes from Jesus in the wilderness, I believe there are three phases of this journey. Ones that are vital to finding your purpose, your voice and your authentic self. This is an encouraging episode that I hope offers comfort and empowers you to leave the status quo and continue following where Spirit leads. In a matter of hours, everything slows from a rapid speed to a slow molasses of time. Where you sit. Where you read. Where you cuddle. Where you leave dishes in the sink and toys on the floor. Where you stay in pjs and watch loads of movies. 💕 . . This is what our house of girls has been the last week. And, as much as I've treasured my lap and arms filled with my babies, it's been so sweet to see how they are equally loving and taking care of eachother. ❤ . . These girls. They have my heart and soul wrapped tightly around each of their fingers. This inner journey has taken me deeper into my relationship with God and pushed me into a more authentic space with myself and my relationships. One that has been scary, exciting and lonely.
